BSEE, MS/PhD preferred 7+ years ASIC design experience. Solid experience with RTL design using Verilog 2-3 years +FPGA synthesis and design experience. Responsibilities

Define the block level design document such as interface protocol, block diagram, transaction flow, pipeline, etc.

Senior Hardware Engineer

Part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team working on optical transceiver products from conception to manufacturing. Responsibilities

Design and development of Fiber Optic transceiver modules for PON applications, primarily 10Gbps – 40Gbps. This includes analysis, analog hardware and high-speed digital circuit and PCB design, modeling and simulations, characterization of optical and electrical performance
Help on cost reduction activities on PCB re-spin, new components introduction, yield improvement, test time and process optimization

Skills/Qualifications

Field Application Engineer

Position:

We are searching for a driven and goal oriented Field Application Engineer with strong technical and support skills to help us grow our business in the broadband access market. The FAE position is a critical member of the Tibit Communications team, responsible for the technical interface between Tibit Communications and our customers. In this pivotal role, you will provide the interface between the customer and Tibit.

Key Responsibilities:

Become the application expert to identify current and future customer needs, and together with the customer find appropriate solutions for customer applications whilst promoting Tibit Communications technical and technology portfolio.
Understand the customer’s strategy and technology roadmap, the market, competition, and trends and apply this knowledge to assist in solving customer network problems.
Develop a network of contacts within customer organization (Engineering, Project Management, Product Management, R&D etc.) to enhance cooperation with customer and become a trusted partner.
Identify sales and business opportunities with customers within the FAE’s region to grow the project pipeline in line with the product and technology roadmap.
Execute conversion of the engineering and sales projects’ pipeline into wins.

Manufacturing and Operations Software Development Engineer

Position:

The Manufacturing and Operations Software Development Engineer is responsible for the design and development of automated calibration, test and diagnostic software systems (“Manufacturing Software”) for our manufacturing facilities and will work closely with our manufacturing test organization to develop the testing strategy. Working with wide multi- functional teams on new cutting-edge products, you will enable critical calibration and testing of our products. You will write the software required to test and characterize our products during prototyping, bring-up, debug and characterization of new product introductions. Defect root cause analysis and resolution will be required, including diligent bug database tracking of the Manufacturing Software. You will liaison with and support test equipment bring up and qualification at our Contract Manufacturer. Additionally, this position will troubleshoot quality issues to improve yields and reduce test times. This individual will play a key role in defining, architecting, specifying, crafting, validating, and developing Manufacturing Software to support our product bring up, calibration, ramp, and production.

Essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Develop, evaluate and improve the Manufacturing Software
Ensure all Manufacturing Software fully tests the products in accordance with the product requirements
Guide the manufacturing test organization in developing the verification and validation test plans, test procedures and test reports
Participate in code reviews, software module tests, software technical reviews and software development phase reviews
Have expertise in and working knowledge of configuration management tools including their oversight and maintenance throughout the development process
Work closely with cross-functional R&D team to understand system requirements with focus on end user of the Manufacturing Software
Ensure proper documentation and traceability between system requirements, software requirements, software design and test cases

Education:

BS CE/CS/EE required, MS CE/CS/EE (preferred)

Manufacturing Engineer

Position:

You will be responsible for supporting the assembly, calibration and testing of Optical transceiver modules, with a focus on optical test parameters. You will perform regular analysis of factory data and use it to anticipate and solve manufacturing/quality problems. Deliver improvements in yield, reliability, serviceability, manufacturability, testability, capacity and cost, primarily for optical transceiver design and its sub-assemblies. Interface with cross-functional engineering teams including electrical, mechanical and software disciplines. This position is highly collaborative, and strong communication/presentation skills will provide you with high visibility amongst the engineering, production and management teams.

What you will do:

Take ownership of test processes and test equipment for manufactured and purchased products from production phase through end-of-life.
Support the creation and/or maintenance of efficient “mid-volume” manufacturing lines, specifying and/or refining BOMs, assembly and test processes and detailed work instructions.
Provide training and support to production and engineering technicians.
Qualify/document/implement/support production and RMA-line test equipment, at both CM site and vendor facilities. Propose equipment design changes as appropriate.
Support PCA vendors, contract manufacturers and internal personnel for PCA component and process/outsourcing initiatives. Travel to vendor sites as required.
Provide technical support, including multi-level failure analysis for discrepant parts and assemblies. Drive to root cause and follow-up corrective action.
Take responsibility for maintaining compliance with device quality system including corrective action closure, discrepant material dispositions and change implementations.
Execute Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Lead and participate in initiatives focused on yield improvement, material cost reduction, capacity enhancement, and outsourcing of assemblies.
Must possess strong communication skills to interface with technicians, production management, product development, planning, purchasing, regulatory, inspection, customer support and clinical marketing organizations.
